Reunited after a 15-year split...Rumours started to swirl over the weekend that Ian Brown, John Squire, Gary 'Mani' Mounfield and Alan 'Reni' Wren would be getting back together and the news was confirmed at a press conference at London's Soho Hotel yesterday. The band are set to play two gigs at Love Manchester's Heaton Park on June 29 and 30 with other dates around the world to follow. Tickets are set to go on sale this Friday and are expected to be in high demand, with many predicting that box office vendors will sell out in minutes. Tickets are likely to appear on fan-to-fan exchange websites almost immediately after the release, all of which will be available to buy at Metro Tickets, with fans able to compare prices and find the cheapest available online before purchasing. Many fans of the group seemed convinced that a reunion was not possible, but the band are now set to appear in their original line-up for the first time in over 15 years. The group famously disbanded in 1996, after a number of legal issues and internal rows. Guitarist John Squire quit in 1995 and although the band carried on without him, they split after a disastrous performance at Reading Festival in 1996. The group released two albums including their influential debut back in 1989 which included hits such as I Wanna Be Adored and Fools Gold.
